Aden Bare Duale is the Garissa Township Constituency Member of Parliament where he was elected using the Jubilee party ticket. The MP was also a majority leader in the National Assembly representing the majority party which is Jubilee.
Duale was born on 15th June 1969.
Aden Duale Family
Aden grew up with a father that was a pastoralist and did not take keen interest in formal education. He has an identical twin brother who has been part of his life. His mother, Hawa Kosar moved together with all her kids to an urban area and left the father to take care of his animals in their rural home.
Bare started his early education at Boystown Primary School located Garissa County in the year 1975. He later on made it to Garissa High School before joining Moi Forces Academy Nakuru as from 1986. Aden Duale graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Education from Moi University. In additon, he also has an Executive MBA from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology. The MP has also majored in several significant courses among them Conflict and project Marketing.
Aden Duale Career
His teaching career began at Sankuri Secondary School in 1992 and he did not get to complete the first two academic terms. After quitting his teaching career, he became a clerical officer at the provincial commissioner’s office in Garissa for half a year and quit because of low and poor pay. Aden Duale then took part in the family business before becoming the director at KBC where he served up to 2003. He has done other businesses and career such as being a strategist and a businessman. Bare is also the founder member and CEO of Livestock Marketing Society of Kenya.
He was first elected the MP of Dujis Constituency using the Orange Democratic Party (ODM) in 2007, something his father-in law did not support. Aden then became the Assistant Minister of Livestock in April 2008. The MP has also taken part in some important national events such as in the new constitution where he was the head of the YES team in North Eastern.
He was the ODM national vice chairman until he did not agree with party leadership and was among the members that founded The United Republican Party (URP) and an important member of G7 leadership. Aden Duale was a strong supporter of the Uhuru and Ruto government after exiting ODM party in 2011. After being kicked as the Majority leader in what is alleged to be a plot, he threatened to withdraw his support.
Aden Duale Marriage
Bare is married to a daughter of the former chief of general staff, Mohamud Mohammed. He is a blessed and happy father to five sons.
