Felix Odiwour popularly known to the public as Jalang’o is one of the most popular radio presenters, MCs and comedian. Jalang’o is undoubtedly one of the richest media personalities in Kenya who loves to showcase his wealth. He owns a fleet of cars and houses and his wealth remains a dream to many. His early life, however, is one many can relate to as it was a difficult one.
Growing up, Jalang’o did not have the privilege of leading the amazing rich lifestyle he is living now. He was born and raised in Homabay in a struggling home. He could not afford the school fees while in school and had to be sent home all the time for that. The comedian, however, was an intelligent boy set to join Maseno School.
He unfortunately lacked the funds hence delayed reporting and had to join a local school where he scored a C+ despite all the challenges. Comedian Jalang’o started off as a fisherman in Homabay and worked for the Capital Fish Company Limited.
He relocated to Nairobi soon after that and worked in the ‘Mjengo’ sites where life was difficult because of low pay. He says when he began comedy, he was being paid with ‘chips’. Felix used to trek to the KNT where he was a supplementary cast.
Jalang’o Rise To Fame
He got recognized by the theatre after performing a set book so well he was praised by everyone. The presenter did a couple of commercials in vernacular and his big break came when he starred in Papa Shirandula show. People were so amazed and their role was kept.
Since then he has grown so much and is popularly demanded by many radio stations and TV host. He has amassed a lot of wealth although he has been involved in a lot of controversies.
