The late Tom Mboya is not a new person the Kenyan history as well as the fight towards independence during colonialism. His assassination in 1969 was one of the worst tragedies that caused a lot of stir all over the country. However, during the time that he lived, the great Tom Mboya was married to the gorgeous Pamela Odede. She was the daughter to a politician, Walter Odede, born in Maseno Lake Victoria.
Their wedding pics sure are something to admire as they were one of the greatest weddings to take place during that time. They were married in a Roman Catholic Church that was attended by many important people. One of the most remarkable moments was when Pamela danced with Prince Philip. The wedding which took place in 1962 is something that is remembered to date.
The couple had 5 kids one of which passed away when he was young. After Tom Mboya’s death, Pamela had another kid with her brother-in-law as per the Luo culture and named him Tom Mboya Junior. Some of those kids are now important members of the society. Maureen Odero works as a judge in Mombasa and Susan Mboya is the president of Cocacola Africa. She is also wife to former Nairobi governor Evans Kidero.
