James Caviezel is an American actor born in September 26, 1968. He acted the role of Jesus Christ in the Mel Gibson film of 2004, The Passion of Christ.
During one of the filming sessions, James was struck by lightning which left his shoulder dislocated. He also suffered from pneumonia and hypothermia. He revealed that they were filming the sermon on the mountain when the ordeal happened. Speaking to the Wall street journal interview, Jim narrated how the incident happened
“It was like someone slapped my ears. I had seven or eight seconds of of like pink, fuzzy colour and people started screaming” He went on to narrate how the crew said he had fire on his left side of the head and light around his body
Apart from the lightning incident, James Caviezel also dislocated his shoulder while carrying the cross. He endured the pain and illness during the filming to improve the film’s authenticity. He revealed that he had to have two heart surgeries because of the film.
However, despite the incidents, the film was a big hit.
