Zedekiah Bundotich Kiprop, popularly known as Buzeki is a renowned businessman, philanthropist and politician in Kenya. Many Kenyans knew him after he ran for Uasin Gishu County gubernatorial seat. He splashed millions in his campaigns but unfortunately, he lost the contest to Jackson Mandago.
Buzeki Background
Buzeki managed to make his money mainly from the dairy business. He used to hawk milk using a cart in the coast region. Buzeki was employed by a milk processing plant where he rose to become sales manager before leaving the firm to distribute milk for Tuzo for over 8 years.
He accumulated his earnings and used them to buy his former employer’s firm which he rebranded to Kilifi Gold.
He managed to expand his business and in 2013, Brookside made him an offer that propelled him to the billionaire status. They bought two of his firms for approximately 1.1 billion.
The flamboyant businessman has risen to become one of the richest people in the country. In a past interview with Viusasa, Buzeki took and showed reporter Sharon Kiprono on a tour across his empire which runs in the two counties.
Buzeki is the currently the director and CEO of Buzeki Group of Companies. He revealed to the reporter that his logistics business makes the biggest division of his company.
Apart from farming, the businessman has also invested in the transport sector. He has a number of trucks and vehicles with some providing container load services to global destinations.
Farming
At his very large farmhouse in Uasin Gishu, Buzeki is into farming where he cultivates various crops including cabbages, onions and tomatoes. He also owns a large herd of cattle.
