The Cabinet Secretary for Education, Professor George Magoha has finally announced the release date for the KCPE results. In a statement made to the press in Kisumu on Monday, Magoha revealed that the marking of the examinations was ongoing with only Kiswahili Insha and English Composition going on. Magoha went on further to reveal that the KCPE results were going to be released in the next fortnight.
That means that after two weeks, the candidates who sat for their examinations will know how they performed. This comes barely weeks after the pupils finished the National examinations.
There was also an invigilator in Kitui who sent a pupil away during a composition exam. In relation to that event, the CS said that the invigilator was going to face the full wrath of the law. However, the pupil is going to be get results minus the composition paper.
Magoha told school heads and education officers to be vigilant and maintain their moral codes as the KCSE exams are ongoing. This comes amid growing cases of cheating in the ongoing exams. Several administrators have already been arrested in relation to that.
