Oscar Sudi Kipchumba is a Kenyan politician and the current Member of Parliament for Kapseret Constituency located in Uasin Gishu County. Oscar Sudi is a member of the United Republican Party (URP) which is in coalition with the Jubilee party. He is a William Ruto supporter, something that landed him in trouble recently.

Oscar was born on 12th March 1980 in Eldoret County.
Oscar Sudi Family
Sudi’s family were squatters around the Moi University area and were given temporary land to stay in by Mzee Kibor Talai . His father was a charcoal dealer while his mother was jobless at that time. Later on, his mother came to own a grocery shop which was opened by his father. This is where Oscar made friends with matatu owners and touts. He had two brothers whom he says slept in the kitchen while living as squatters.
Early Life
While spending time at his mother’s store he made friends with them and started working as a parking boy in 1996. He was then later introduced to Mzee Barnabas Sawe who was a matatu owner where he learned how to drive for one and half years. when he became of age in 1998, he started driving matatus and used his salary to buy fertilizers and seeds and invested in farming.
He then later on bought his first matatu Peugeot 504 and used it for business. Later, he sold it and bought others and claims that is where he made his wealth. He says though that he was once conned and had to sell his property and rebuild his business.
Oscar Sudi Education
He studied at Olympic Primary School before joining Uhuru High School according to the parliament MPs records. He then joined the Kenya Institute of Management.
Political Life
While in his business ventures he met with David Lagat who is a known powerful businessman. David introduced him to powerful leaders and MPs in the county. He was first noticed in the political scene in 2003 when he campaigned for David Koros in Eldoret. Oscar Sudi was and is also close to deputy president William Ruto who was the inspiration for joining politics. In 2013, he joined URP, Ruto’s party and where he contested for member of parliament and won the seat. He also won the seat in 2017.
Marriage
He has two wives who live in luxury, Lilian and Ann Sudi. Oscar married the first one in 2000.

He is known to have massive wealth he claims to have accumulated over the years through his business ventures starting with the matatu business. Oscar Sudi owns many homes including one worth KES100M and is incredibly wealthy.
Controversy
The MP landed in trouble recently after lashing out at the president and his mother. He was detained and is facing a court case over the same.
