Mwanahamisi prefers to keep most of her life private and not much is known about her past. Sources reveal that she is of the Luhya tribe and her fluency in Kiswahili is because she spent her time at the coast and still frequents the place.

Career
Her career started in 2010 at the Royal Media Services, a place she has worked in up to date. She presents the Citizen TV news at 7:00 p.m. and also produces and host a health show called ‘Siha na Maumbile’ on Thursdays at Sema Na Citizen Show.
She is also the producer of popular show Mwanamke Bomba, a show that comes once a week. It features women who make it through struggles. She has won several awards for empowering women through the show.
Hamadi has a channel on Viusasa called Mapishi Time where she shares cooking skills and recipes.

Mwanahamisi and Radio Slaam presenter Salim Cheka were rumored to be married at one time.However, details about their relationship are unkown to the public. The two have a daughter together who they co-parent.
Controversy
Hamadi and senior presenters at Citizen TV including Swaleh Mdoe were suspended. This is because it was alleged that they had gotten a bribe from a politician to kill a story that was supposed to be aired.
In June 2019, she was hospitalized after being physically and brutally beaten by another woman whom she claimed was dating her then alleged husband. She had gone to confront her but things did not go well.
