Lee Maiyani Kinyanjui is a Kenyan politician and was the previous governor for Nakuru County. He is a member of the Jubilee Political Party and has been so for a long time.

Lee is believed to be the late president Arap Moi’s son and so he is part of the Moi family.
Education
Maiyani went to Kenyatta University for his campus education where he studied Literature. He further went on to increase his level of education and did a masters at the University of Nairobi. Lee Kinyanjui did a course in business administration.
Lee Kinyanjui Career
He first tried his luck in politics in 2007 elections and represented the Nakuru Town Constituency as the Member of parliament. He then worked as the assistant minister for roads in in 2008 until 2013. In 2013, he gave the Nakuru County gubernatorial seat a shot but lost to Kinuthia Mbugua.
In that same year, he was appointed by the president Uhuru Kenyatta as the chairperson for the National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA), a seat he held onto until the 2017 elections where he resigned to vie for Nakuru County Governor. He was successful this time and defeated Kinuthia Mbugua becoming the second governor of Nakuru County. Lee decided to run for a second term as Nakuru Governor and unfortunately lost to Susan Kihika.
Lee Kinyanjui Marriage
He is happily married to Elizabeth Kinyanjui who was the first lady for Nakuru County.
