David Lekuta Rudisha is one of the most popular names not only in Kenya but also internationally. He is widely recognised for his achievements in sports specifically athletics. David Rudisha has won many awards for his work and is one of the most respected athletes.
He has set records in so many races and marathons some of which remain unbroken till now. David Rudisha has set the bar high for so many athletes who look up to him.
The athlete, however, has not had quite the best life after he suffered an injury. This caused him to not compete in the marathons or any race for a while. He was set to compete this year before Corona happened. He spoke of this in an interview hoping to make a comeback in sports.
David was greatly depressed after his unfortunate incident and turned to a life of partying. He was not available for his family which led to divorcing his wife Lizzy. Lizzy took to her Facebook page telling him to stop frustrating both her and her kids and she was tired of all of it.
She, however, deleted the post later on for unkown reasons. Rudisha also lost his father during that time who was also an award winning athlete and things have not been so easy on him in his personal life.
He also collided with a car on August 2019 but said he had not suffered any injuries. He has not been active in sports since 2017 and not even in his position as chair in sports. His fellow athletes complained of this and he did not respond to that.
He, however, reported that he is back on track, lost the weight he gained and is set for the Olympics once more.
