This year the Education CS Ezekiel Machogu announced the KCSE results on January 20th with several changes to the announcement. The CS did not announce the ranking of top schools and students as part of the changes the ministry is trying to implement. 1,146 students scored a grade of A with the boys leading with 875. The boys managed to outshine the girls even in other grades except the grade E where more boys appeared than girls. A total of 173,345 students transitioned to university by achieving the grade C+ and above.
Below are the top boys schools in KCSE 2022 that managed to shine countrywide;

2. Cardinal Otunga High- 10.76
3. Kapsabet Boys- 10.76
4. Alliance Boys- 10.694
5. Kabarak High- 10.64
6. Nakuru Boys High-10.42
7. St Anthony’s Kitale – 10.33
8. St Pauls Igonga DOK Sec- 10.24
9. Kanga High- 9.96
10. St Pauls Gekano Boys- 9.01
The Nyanza region produced majority of the top schools with the most top schools in the country coming from the Nyanza Region.
