4 Windows Programs And Apps You Should Uninstall

You find that, in your computer system, there are certain apps and programs you rarely use. These apps and programs occupy unnecessary disk space and should be removed completely.

These programs among many others are as follows;

QuickTime

It is an Apple video player program currently on Mac-Os and not supported in the windows version. The program has a few critical vulnerabilities and may lack patches. If you need a replacement for the program you can try out VLC.

CCleaner

This was once a trusted windows app for cleaning junk files. Its reputation went down after its acquisition by Avast. One of the issues is that it has forced updates without permission, data collection that enabled itself after restarting, and sometimes the software can distribute malware unknowingly that are hidden by hackers. You can consider uninstalling it.

Adobe Flash player

Since January 2021, the adobe flash player is no longer supported and blocked in all modern browsers. It isn’t updating anymore and uninstalling it will save you from future security risks.

WinRar

This has been a file extraction and compression tool which has proved to be helpful. The app has its downside as you can download it for free and then after some continuous usage,  it asks you to pay. But even if you don’t pay, it still works. To curb any lags associated with it, you can still replace it with another compression and extraction tool like 7-Zip.

In conclusion, the above programs can still be re-installed even if you remove them from your system in the case whereby you want to use them again. But removing them will help create more disk space and make your system not have any lags.
