Blow to Ruto After Lawyer Surrender Case On ICC

According to The Star Newspaper, fresh panic has arisen in the Deputy President’s Tangatanga camp as a lawyer allegedly surrenders to the International Criminal Court (ICC) over the 2007/2008 post election violence case.

The Kenyan lawyer, Gicheru Paul, has gave in to the ICC yesterday over accusations of influencing witnesses in the Ruto’s case through corruption.

Gicheru and his counterpart Philip Bett were accused of corrupting witnesses in the Ruto ICC case.

The publication has established that on November 2, Gicheru surrendered to the Netherlands authorities for the above offences against the administration of Justice at the ICC

The international criminal Court, as reported by the publication reported that lawyer Githeru was criminally responsible for influencing witnesses using corruption measures in the Deputy President’s case.

The court said that the above allegedly paid between Ksh 1 million and Ksh 5 million to a witness in order for him to withdraw from the case.

This is raising headache on the Deputy President as his ICC case would likely be resurrected.
