Importance Of Covid-19 To Kenyans

A recent survey has showed weird results on number of deaths before and on Covid-19 pandemic. It is evident that fear and Covid-19 brought a lot of tension in the world not only in kenya during last year. Most businesses were being affected and also most families lost their loved ones during this pandemic. The survey shows that few number of people died during 2020 as compared to those who died in 2019 that is before the pandemic. In 2019 191495 people died, in contrary 2020 184185 people died. Advanced economic survey also showed that from the past 5 years 2020 have the least number of deaths.
The proportion of death rate is for every 130 men 100 women died. The survey did not exactly showed the causes of deaths. On another note the birth rate decreased from 1.19 million in 2019 to 1.14 million in 2020. The proportion is 104 male for 100 female.
It is very important to know the causes of death during the 2020 pandemic. Respiratory disease got 16.5 million cases which is a drop from 21.9 million in 2019. Secondly is Malaria which had 11.4 million cases and on 2019 it was 13 million. Skin disease such as ulcers had 4.2 million cases, 2.6 million diarrhea cases, 2.4 urinary tract infection and 1.5 pneumonia cases.
Road accident is another cause of death which decreased from 480993 in 2019 to 247252 cases in 2020. The study did not give specifications on those who died on Covid-19. Generally 2020 has been a good year to Kenyans interms of those who lost lifes. Do you agree with this study?
