With the release of the KCSE results by the Education CS Ezekiel Machogu, there were a few changes, including the decision not to announce top students and schools. The 2022 KCSE candidates performed exceptionally well compared to the previous years with the boys outshining the girls. The total number of students who achieved the
minimum C+ grade also increased to 173,345 which is an increased number from 2021. A total of 1,146 students scored A with 875 of those being boys.

9. Lugulu Girls- 9.39
10. Bunyore Girls- 9.01
Nyanza region shined through the most in overall performances especially the girls.
