It has become a common incident as many people have claimed to be Jesus or sent by Jesus. This has led a lot of people to do a lot of dumb things, some disturbing, ending up with consequences. A lot has been emulated but this is the first time someone has tried being buried alive and resurrecting. James Sakala aged 22, a priest, has shocked the world by what he attempted to do that has cost him his life. He was confident that he has going to rise on the third day as Jesus did.
James, emulating what was in the Bible, wore a pure white gown like the disciples. He also wore brown leather slippers on his feet and summoned his congregants. They were to witness the second resurrection after Jesus as he had dug a deep grave for his burial. Acting as someone who had been possessed by a spirit he said to them, ” All ye of little faith bury this Sakala you see now and he shall arise from the dead and breath free lungs full again.”
The followers were initially reluctant but they followed his orders. Sakala was a pastor at Zion Church in Zambia as well as a witchdoctor. When he was asked his reason for doing it he quoted the scripture before the Eve of the death of Jesus. With hymn and dance people gathered around and buried him. The choir expecting a miracle continued to chant and pray by the graveside.
As logic might state, the pastor did not resurrect as he had promised. The grave was dug up and his clothes were soiled with Mucus and blood and a form of struggle. They made efforts to resurrect him but he was already dead. This incident has left a lot of people in shock.
