The late Professor George Magoha was and still is one of the most popular cabinet secretaries, who was best known for his strict nature and policies. He was born in 1952 in Kisumu county. George was popularly known for his interest in education and how highly he regarded the education system. Magoha attended Dr David Livingstone Primary school in Nairobi for his primary education and later on went to Starehe Boys Center for his O levels. For his A level exams, he attended Strathmore School where he graduated Highschool. The late Professor got a scholarship to the University of Lagos, Nigeria where he studied Human Medicine. He is one of the most highly educated people in Kenya and has served in a lot of sectors in the education system for over 2 decades.
Dr George Magoha Family
The Late George Magoha was married to a medical Practitioner, Odudu Barbara Magoha. She is a consultant obsterician and gynaecologist at Kenyatta National Hospital and also a lecturer at the University of Nairobi. The two reportedly met at the University of Lagos where they were studying medicine together. They had a wedding in 1982 and were blessed with one so Michael Augustus Achianja.
Michael is also a doctor and learnt at Strathmore and Brookhouse School. He got his medical degree from UoN in 2009 and returned to the university in 2011 to pursue Neurosurgery. Currently, he is a lecturer on Neurosurgery at the same univesity and Kenyatta Hospital.
