5 Details you Didn’t Know about Marcus Rashford

Manchester United’s forward star, Rashford, has been recording goals in his last few games and he is rising higher in his career. Here are some few details about him, his history that you may have never heard about:

1. He started kicking the ball at the age of TWO

Rashford started playing football at the age of two with his brother, from the garage to the garden and even inside the house.

‘I could remember my Dad insisting he takes me to join a youth club to play with boys instead of having me around kicking balls on our garage’s roof’ says Marcus.

His dad, Robert, was a coach at Fletcher Moss boys and he encouraged him to join the local team and that’s where Manchester United scouts were attracted to him by his skills and they signed him at the age of 8.

2. He developed his talent in the same club with Danny Welbeck

Marcus Rashford grew his talent and career in the famous Fletcher Moss Junior Football Club, the club that has produced other football stars like Welbeck, Ravel Morrison, Wes Brown, Harry Kane and Cameron Borthwick-Jackson.

3. His Role Model is Cristiano Ronaldo

From the interview of Marcus Rashford with lifebogger, it is clear that the young football star is looking up on the top star Cristiano Ronaldo who is already a legend in football.

‘It happened with Ronaldo when he came to United. He defined himself as a man who could do all tricks. His stopovers, tricks and of course goals got him all the attention. I learned from him and I changed my thinking on field’

4. He nearly signed for Jay Z’ Agency

Jay Z, the famous rap star, owns a sport agency by the name ‘Roc Nation Sports’ and has signed footballers like Jerome Boateng.

In 2016, the agency contacted Rashford while he was still 18 to sign a deal with them but his parents refused the deal.

5. He could have Joined Man City

The Red devils had to beat off competition from their neighbors Manchester City who wanted to steal the young star from them and they even wanted to sign him again but Rashford decided to marry Manchester United.
