Anne Kiguta is a popular journalist, anchor, reporter and host based in Kenya.

Age

She was born on 21^st November in the year 1984 in Buruburu estate in Nairobi.

Background and Family

Anne Kiguta was raised in Kilimani area with her elder sisters. She is the last born in a family of four daughters. She grew up in a Christian home.

Education

She attended St. Christopher’s Prep School for her primary school education. Anne then joined Rusinga High School in Nairobi before pursuing a degree in public relations and Mass Media at Daystar University. She graduated from the institution in 2008.

Career

When Anne was just 18 years, her church started a radio station and she auditioned and got a role as a presenter. She started out as a host and producer before growing to a news anchor. Anne worked at the radio station, hope FM from 2003-2006. Her big breakthrough came when she joined Capital FM as a senior news anchor.

In 2009, Anne started her career on TV at Standard Media group as an anchor and reporter. She worked hard and managed to grow her career. Anne landed the role of senior anchor and current affairs editor. She anchored KTN’s Checkpoint which competed with Citizen’s Sunday Live. The show gained popularity which prompted the Citizen Managing Director, Wachira, to seek her.

Anne Kiguta was hired by Royal Media in October 2013 as a Group digital Manager and senior anchor. Anne took over Sunday Live, Monday Special and even Opinion Court. She however had to exit Citizen in 2019 to take a break.

Anne made a TV comeback on Punchline, a new political show airing on K24 TV on Sundays.

Marriage and Children

In 2014, Anne was engaged to Steve Ngunyi, a famous marketing expert. However had to call it quits citing an abusive partner. Steve is the father to her daughter, Wairimu.

Anne Kiguta also has twin boys whose father is believed to be Jomo Gecaga. This is after she posted a video of him and the twins wishing him a happy Father’s Day. But she later deleted the video.
