Jamila Mohamed is a journalist, senior news anchor and editor currently working at Citizen TV. She also worked as a radio presenter for several years which makes her very experienced. Many people know her for her good master of the Kiswahili language and presentation skills.

Jamila was raised by a single mother and is the only known child.
Education
She scored a B-from Ngara girls high school and joined The University of Nairobi where she studied Journalism and media studies. She then went to pursue a Masters in international conflict management at the same University.
Career
Jamila Mohammed started her media career in 2000 as a radio presenter hosting the news and reporting from areas across the country. Two years later, she joined Nation Media Group’s NTV and later moved up the ranks to a senior reporter and news anchor.
She also became the Swahili news editor at the station. In 2015, she became the managing editor of QTV.
Two years later, she became the manager of programming and content in the same NTV station. In April 2018, she was poached by Citizen TV where she was made the managing editor and also a news anchor.
Jamila has managed to grow her career steadily over the years. She is currently one of the fans’ favorites in the media industry.
Marriage
The amazing TV presenter is married to a man called Ahmed and they are blessed with five children. Nasteha, Amin, Mohamed, Abdulhakim and Rahma. Her last born was born in 2007 during the post-election violence.
